About Campus of St. Clair College
The college’s campus is spread all over southern Ontario. The biggest campus is located in Windsor, Ontario. There are other sites situated in Chatham and Wallaceburg. The college has been expanding its campus by purchasing more and more land since 2009. It recently built a sports complex called Sportsplex in 2014. With all the expansion that the college is undertaking, it has become the main part of the state of Ontario and is contributing a lot to its development. In the year 2009, it purchased the Salvation Army Building owned by the city of Windsor for one dollar only. With a five-million-dollar grant from the federal government, the aforementioned building was given the shape of a world-class Journalism school.
The college offers programs in various subjects. It provides over 100 diploma, degree, certificate and postgraduate certificate programs to its students. It offers courses in Applied Technology, Liberal arts and sciences, business and IT, community studies, engineering, media and design, skilled trades like Culinary management and horticulture, Health sciences, etc. It offers bachelor’s degrees in science, arts, education, medical, etc. The college takes over 1100 international students every year. To ensure that deserving students do not lose the opportunity for education due to want of money, the college spends over $1.5 million in scholarships every year.
St. Clair has been home to several well-known people who’ve made it big in the corporate world. The college is known as the best college in the state of Ontario. Matt Boismier, an art director graduated from here in the year 2006. The founder of Windsor Eats, Adriano Ciotoli graduated in the year 2004. Tony Savoni, Windsor operations site manager for Ford Motor Company graduated in the year 1987 from St. Clair College.
